3 Things You Should Know About Rock Chip Repair

Did you know that, in addition to paint correction and ceramic coating, we offer rock chip repair at Let’s Roll? We do! Before getting started with this service, here are three things you need to know.

A black ford mustang is parked in front of a building.

1. Rock chips can occur easily, with normal driving.

This is especially true if you travel significantly, or live on a gravel road. The spray of gravel, small rocks, or a stray stone kicked up by a nearby car can knick your paint in a second. This can cause an ugly speckled pattern that makes you cringe every time you look at your front bumper (the most common location of this damage).

2. We repair rock chips the correct way.

All our rock chip repair services are performed with OEM, professionally matched paint kits from Dr. ColorChip. This ensures that we have the exact color to match your vehicle…and we won’t end up with a strange mottled look when the job is done. Each kit is special ordered for each job, and we just need your vehicle’s make, model, year, color name, and color code to get the right one. All this information is usually readily available on your vehicle.

3. This service doesn’t take a lot of time or money.

If there ever was a “quick fix” in the detailing world that is actually effective, this is it. A rock chip repair can be done in less than a day, and is on the lower end of our service pricing.

In summary, rock chips can drastically impact the aesthetic appeal of your car, but a repair is easily accessible. We can help!
